BJP-Backed A V N Reddy Wins Teachers' Quota MLC Election
The BJP-backed A V N Reddy was today declared the winner of the election for the Hyderabad - Mahabubnagar - Ranga Reddy teachers' quota MLC seat.

The BJP-backed A V N Reddy was today declared the winner of the election for the Hyderabad - Mahabubnagar - Ranga Reddy teachers' quota MLC seat, that was held on March 13.
Reddy defeated the BRS-backed PRTU candidate Chenna Keshava Reddy.
Congratulations poured in right from the top, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah tweeting to express his happiness at the victory, and congratulating Reddy and the State's BJP leaders and workers who had worked for the victory.
Shah said that the victory was an indication that the people of Telangana were vexed with the corrupt rule of the BRS-led State government and that they aspired to see the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay also expressed his happiness at the victory of Reddy. He said that the victory was a lesson to the BRS, and thanked the teachers who voted for Reddy. He said that the victory belonged to all the teachers, and added that the victory was also an indication of the anti-incumbency prevailing among the teachers of the State. He asked CM K Chandrashekar Rao to open his eyes at least now and solve their problems.
