Bharatiya Janata Party senior leader and Secunderabad MP Bandaru Dattatreya on Saturday requested Governor E S L Narasimhan to intervene to resolve the ongoing disputes between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to media persons, Dattatreyya said that fee reimbursement, water and power were the major contentious issues between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
He said that ideally the Chief Minsiters - Nara Chandrababu Naidu and K Chandrasekhar Rao - should sit together to resolve the disputes. However since both were reluctant to meet each other, the Governor should intervene and ensure that people do not suffer due to the political differences.
Dattatreya also criticised the Telangana government for its pre-1956 position on nativity. He demanded that KCR should convene an all-party meeting on fee reimbursement immediately. (INN)
