The BJP high command has stepped in to pacify two prominent disgruntled leaders of the party in Telangana - former minister and MLA Etala Rajender, and former Congress MLA and current BJP Leader Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy.
Senior BJP leader and union minister Kishan Reddy got a call from the party high command asking him to attend a meeting in New Delhi. He will leave for Delhi from Hyderabad on Saturday afternoon. The minister cancelled his programs today in Hyderabad in view of his upcoming visit to Delhi.
Etala and Rajagopal Reddy have already received a call from the party high command. Kishan Reddy will attend the high command meeting along with Etala and Rajagopal Reddy.
There is a lot of speculation in the wake of Etala and Rajagopal Reddy going to Delhi upon the call of the party high command. Both the leaders have been staying away from the party programs for the past some time. The saffron party in the State has gotten cleaved into two factions - State president Bandi Sanjay's faction and Etala's faction.
It is learnt that the BJP high command is planning to deploy Kishan Reddy to get the two leaders to reconcile. Also, BJP's national president J P Nadda will be coming to Telangana for a public meeting in Nagarkurnool on Sunday, and the party high command is in the process of fixing the affairs of the party in the State in this context.
