BJP Has Nothing To Do With ED Notices To Kavitha: Kishan Reddy

Union Minister for Tourism & Culture G Kishan Reddy today said that the union government had nothing to do with the ED (Enforcement Directorate) notices to the BRS MLC K Kavitha, who is the daughter of Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao.

Speaking to media persons at the Mahbubnagar district party office after holding a strategy meeting to ensure the victory of the party's Mahbubnagar, Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad teachers' constituency MLC candidate A V N Reddy, Reddy asked what was wrong in the issuance of the notices. Without taking the name of Kavitha, he alleged that it was she who had got herself involved in the Delhi liquor scam committed by the Aam Aadmi Party to earn illegal money, and asked the BRS leaders if the union government had asked them to do the illegal businesses.

He also said that non-corrupt leaders should not get scared of any notices, and also asked Kavitha why she had destroyed her phones if she was not corrupt, and why she was making a hue and cry out of the issue.

Reddy also said that investigative agencies like the CBI and the ED filed cases every day, and asked what the BJP would have with those cases. He also asked the BRS leaders how the notice issued to Kavitha could be termed as an insult to the entire Telangana state.

Referring to the suggestions of the BRS leaders to introduce the Women's Reservation Bill in Parliament, he said that the BRS leaders, who did not make a woman a cabinet minister for five years, did not need to give advice to the union government on the issue.

He also said that the Centre would not obstruct the dharna of Kavitha at Jantar Mantar of Delhi unlike what CM KCR had done in the State to BJP leader Bandi Sanjay's padayatras.
