The Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday condemned the statement of TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao wherein the latter called the BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate an enemy of Telangana.
In a media statement, Telangana BJP spokesman Krishna Saagar Rao described KCR's statement as irresponsible and provocative.
"If the people of Telangana vote for the TRS, they will realize who the enemy of Telangana is. Just by shooting off his mouth, KCR cannot become a winner. He should not underestimate the wisdom of the people of Telangana," he said.
"KCR's deviant plot to separate Modi from the BJP and make a wild and incredible statement as "Modi is an enemy of Telangana" showcases his desperation to come to power simply by using plain lies as instruments. How can he justify his statement when the TRS had no role to play in the constitutional process of achieving Telangana? Without the BJP's support, the Telangana bill wouldn't have been passed in either House of Parliament. The BJP demands the withdrawal of this statement on Modi, and demands an apology from KCR for making such irresponsible statements," Saagar Rao stated.
The BJP has cautioned the people of Telangana to vote carefully, as any vote to TRS is directly a vote for Congress.
"Eventually both these parties will get together after the elections," Saagar Rao alleged. (INN)
