Health And Medical Services Minister D L Ravindra Reddy said that the government was not bothered who took the credit for the additional central flood relief.
Health And Medical Services Minister D L Ravindra Reddy made it clear that farmers' interest was the main aim of the government, and that the government was not bothered who claimed the credit for giving the assistance to the farmers. The government was only concentrating on how best the farmers could be helped and rehabilitated in the hour of their crisis.
The minister was speaking to the newsmen who met him at the Secretariat on Wednesday in connection with Naidu's hunger strike.
Asked whether the fasting Kadapa Leader Y S Jaganmohan Reddy would claim the credit for the funds' release announcement, the minister replied that the TDP leader was on a hunger strike as well, and who took the credit for anything was immaterial, but who received the government benefit was all that mattered.
Commenting on Jagan's hunger strike camp and his poser on farmers' issues, the minister shot back asking how a person living in Bangalore could have an idea about the interests of Andhra Pradesh or farmers' problems.
Referring to the Congress leaders who visited the hunger strike camp of Jagan on Tuesday, the Minister said that the party would initiate disciplinary action against them.
