TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu today expressed his approval of the proposal of the steel plant at Bayyaram, and opined that the natural resources at the place should be put to use there itself.
In the course of his padayatra, in Visakhapatnam, Naidu said that his suggestion of allotting the Obulapuram mines to Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) was vetoed by former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy.
Naidu claimed that he had stalled NDA government's move to privatize VSP, and called upon the cadre to take these facts to the people.
Naidu's padayatra will come to an end soon, and a pylon is set to be erected to mark the occasion in the district.
Efforts are on by the cadre to make the memorial and the public meeting a big event. (INN)
