Hyderabad | 16th May 2022
The accused in the theft at the Vanasthalipuram branch of the Bank Of Baroda, Praveen, surrendered before a court in Hayath Nagar.

The court sent Praveen, who is a cashier at the bank, to judicial remand till May 30, 2022.

Praveen is facing charges of stealing Rs. 22.53 lakh from the bank on the 10th of this month. The manager of the bank Vinay Kumar had lodged a complaint against Praveen with the Vanasthalipuram police and urged them to take action against him. The police consequently booked a criminal case against him and had launched a manhunt for him.

However, Praveen, who evaded arrest so far, has been claiming that he is innocent and did not steal the money, and that the bank manager had framed him in the case in order to hide his own mistakes.

He also claimed that the bank was committing international scams, and that he would expose all the scams with evidence as soon as possible.
