The Banjara Hills police today issued notices to BRS leader and Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy, who had been booked for misbehaving with SHO K M Raghavendra and obstructing his duties.
Reddy has been directed to appear for questioning at 10 am on Friday.
The police had seized Reddy's phone in connection with the case, and Reddy approached the High Court. The government pleader argued that the phone was seized as part of the investigation. He also said that the MLA was conspiring against the State government and emphasized the need to send the phone to a forensic lab.
However, the High Court has ordered the police to return the phone, stating that it could not be seized without prior notice.
