The Telangana BJP President said that it was perhaps a murder, and threatened demonstrations all over the State on Monday if a probe was not ordered.

Demanding that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao order a judicial inquiry into last week's death of post-graduate medico Dr D Preethi of the Kakatiya Medical College, Warangal, Telangana BJP President Bandi Sanjay today threatened to launch demonstrations all over the State on Monday if the demand was not met.
Bandi made this announcement while speaking to media persons after calling on the family members of Preethi at Girni Thanda in Jangaon district.
Sanjay said that the demonstrations would take place from 12 noon to 4 pm all over the State, in protest against atrocities on women.
"If the BRS government was not at fault, why can't it order a judicial probe by a sitting High Court judge into Preethi's death?" Bandi asked.
He claimed that Preethi was not a timid girl who would commit suicide, and that she had died in mysterious circumstances.
"According to her friends, she was daring enough to call a spade a spade. But it was publicised that she had committed suicide," he said.
Alleging that the police had tampering with the evidence to save the accused, the BJP leader said that the police had forcibly opened the mobile phone of Dr Preethi using her thumb impressions.
Expressing suspicion that Dr Preethi had died in MGM hospital itself, he said that it appeared that the police had shifted the dead body to the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences for "treatment".
He also accused the police of threatening the family members of the deceased doctor and forcing them to perform the last rites for the body quickly.
"Her family members were also apprehensive that she might not have committed suicide but was killed, and had demanded a thorough probe into it," he pointed out.
