The first phase of the padayatra of Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar came to an end in the Husnabad Assembly constituency of the state today.
The phase was held for a period of 36 days.
The party held a public meeting at Husnabad to conclude the yatra. Union Minister Smriti Irani was the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, she targeted the TRS government for not filling up the vacant government jobs. She also asked CM K Chandrashekar Rao whether he was giving Rs. 3,000 per month to the unemployed youth of the state as he had promised in his 2018 manifesto.
Irani also alleged that the TRS was scared of its ally the MIM, and that KCR would always follow the diktaks of the MIM. That was the reason that the state government had not held any official celebrations on September 17 for Telangana's liberation.
The union minister also listed out a bunch of the central government's schemes for the poor including the PM Awas Yojana scheme, and asked the people of the state whether any similar financial assistance was being providing to them by KCR.
BJP leaders Dr K Laxman, former minister Etela Rajender and others also attended the conclusion ceremony.
