TRS legislator Balka Suman today came down heavily on Congress leader and MP A Revanth Reddy for his remarks against Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and his government.
Addressing a campaign meeting at Nagarjuna Sagar's Peddavura area ahead of the April 17 by-election, Suman hit out that Reddy for "crossing all bounds" of decency and respect by criticising the TRS supremo.
"How can a leader like Revanth Reddy speak against KCR? Does he have the stature to do so? Our CM works consistently to bring development and welfare to the state, and has implemented several schemes and programs that have benefited the people. It is shameful that Revanth Reddy is making derogatory remarks against such a leader, especially when the whole country is appreciating our government's work. He cannot even tackle me in an election, let alone face KCR. He should refrain from making any negative comments about the CM in the future, or our activists and followers will teach him the lesson he deserves," the Chennur MLA fumed.
Continuing his admonition, he added, "And anyway, has Revanth Reddy forgotten that during his stint as a TDP leader all he did was grab lands all over Hyderabad at Chandrababu Naidu's behest? He is a leader who even faced jail time for his involvement in a 'note for vote' case. It is best that he refrain, then, from maligning our CM who has always pushed growth and progress in Telangana."
Suman then spoke about the upcoming election, and claimed, "Since we are noted for addressing the fluoride contamination problem and initiating irrigation projects, the TRS candidate for the Nagarjuna Sagar seat, Nomula Bhagat, will surely win the upcoming election. The Congress candidate, K Jana Reddy, does not have a chance of winning since he failed to develop the region."
