Bakrid Celebrated In Grand Way Across Telangana
In Hyderabad, thousands of Muslims offered prayers at Mir Alam Idgah, Mecca Masjid, Masab Tank and other places.

Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) was celebrated with religious fervour and devotion throughout Telangana today.
The festival, celebrated by Muslims across the globe, symbolizes sacrifice, absolute devotion to God and compassion for the poor.
Muslims attired in their best offered special prayers at the various idgahs and masjids in the morning and exchanged greetings. In Hyderabad, thousands of Muslims offered prayers at Mir Alam Idgah, Mecca Masjid, Masab Tank and other places.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, ministers Nayani Narasimha Reddy and Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, MP K Kavitha and others attended the lunch held at the residence of TRS MLC Mohammad Saleem, on the occasion of the festival.
The police made elaborate security arrangements in the twin cities. The city Police Commissioner visited various places in the Old City and supervised the arrangements for the festival himself.
The festival was also celebrated in a grand way at many places including Nizamabad, Bodhan, Warangal, Kazipet, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Adilabad, Nirmal, Bhainsa, Zaheerabad, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Nalgonda, Tandur and Vikarabad.
