Government whip in the Legislative Council Y Shivaram Reddy, on Wednesday, denied that the Congress is afraid of convening a session of the state Legislative Assembly.
Talking to reporters at the Congress Legislature Party office, Shivaram Reddy said that an Assembly session would be convened by the end of this month. He dismissed reports that the ruling party was afraid of convening the session in view of the various problems being faced by the government.
He said that although the Congress would not appreciate mere criticism and uproar over different issues by the opposition parties during the Assembly session, it was ready to answer all the issues.
Shivaram Reddy claimed that the state government, especially Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, was working hard to solve the problems being faced by the people. He said that the Chief Minister and other Congress leaders have been moving among people and giving necessary instructions to officials concerned in order to address public issues. (INN)
