Stating that the allegations being leveled against Akbaruddin Owaisi were baseless, the MIM president inquired as to why the police had not taken any action immediately after the speeches had been delivered.

MIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Monday claimed that his younger brother and party floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi returned from London, leaving his treatment incomplete.
Addressing a meeting of office bearers of party's primary units, Asaduddin Owaisi said that Akbar had had appointments with senior doctors in London. However, due to the pressure created by the BJP, media and Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, he returned immediately without getting treatment, claimed the Hyderabad MP.
Stating that the allegations being leveled against Akbaruddin Owaisi were baseless, the MIM president inquired as to why the police had not taken any action immediately after the speeches had been delivered. He said that the MIM was fighting against communal forces in the country and Akbaruddin never insulted the Hindu community.
Asaduddin Owaisi accused the government and the media of remaining mute spectators to the provocative speeches delivered against Muslims by VHP leader Praveen Togadia and others on several occasions. However, the BJP and a section of media was making an issue out of a speech delivered 10 days ago, he said, going on to say that those responsible for the demolition of Babri Masjid were moving freely and were never talked about.
The MIM president said that his party has complete faith in the judiciary, and would seek justice from the same. He alleged that a section of media has projected a notice sent to Akbaruddin Owaisi as a judgment delivered by a court. He said that the media has been pressurising the police to take hasty actions.
