Owaisi Says TRS Will Win Elections, MIM Won't Share Power
MIM leader and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi predicted today that the TRS would retain power in Telangana as KCR had implemented many welfare programs.
AIMIM supremo and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi predicted today that the TRS would retain power in Telangana as KCR had implemented many welfare programs.
In an interview to a national media agency, Owaisi also said that the MIM would not share power with the TRS. He claimed that he was not interested in power, and that ensuring justice to the weaker sections of society was his only aim.
Replying to a question on the performance of the TRS government, he said that the government had implemented many welfare programs which had benefited the weaker sections and backward classes, and hence the TRS could be expected to retain power, and KCR to become the Chief Minister again.
He also listed the schemes implemented by the TRS government for the welfare of the minorities, and added that they would have an impact on the electorate.
Asked about the reported statement of his brother Akbaruddin Owaisi, MLA, that if H D Kumaraswamy of the JD (S) could become the Chief Minister of Karnataka, then why there was no reason that the MIM could not form the government in Telangana, he said that the media had wrongly quoted his brother. What was said by his brother two minutes earlier was not reported by the media, he claimed.
