CPI National Secretary K Narayana demanded that the Centre order the arrest of mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy and file criminal cases based on his car driver Ramesh's suicide note that was found on December 7.
He also demanded that the Andhra Pradesh government arrest Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Board member Shekar Reddy immediately.
He said in a statement released on Thursday that Shekar Reddy brought a blot to the sacred venue involving serious irregularities. He asked the AP government to conduct a review meeting on the TTD Board executive committee and protect the sanctity of the Tirumala by not appointing members like Shekar Reddy in future.
Recalling the IT raids on Shekar Reddy's houses and offices, and his economical crimes found in the raids, Narayana urged that the State government should not appoint such persons as members of the TTD Board executive committee in future.
