For the convenience of students who are appearing for the SSC examinations of Andhra Pradesh, which are commencing on Thursday, the APSRTC is operating special buses to allow the students free travel from their residences to the examination centers and back. Students need to show their SSC public examination hall tickets and free/concessional bus passes. They will be able to travel irrespective of the distance, and of the origin and destination places mentioned in their free/concessional bus passes.
This facility will be valid only during the period from March 26 to April 11, and even if there is a public holiday. The students will be allowed in express buses too with a combi-ticket, on the strength of their hall tickets, during this period. If a student does not have any free/concessional bus pass, normal fare will be collected.
The Regional Managers concerned will be in touch with the District Educational officers concerned to operate an adequate number of buses, according to a press release. (INN)
