The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) stated, on Wednesday, that the Commission would re-conduct the Group-1 preliminary examination for those candidates who did not appear for the test due to the bandh call made by the Telangana Rashtra Samiti.
The Commission, in a statement to the media, made it clear that it would re-conduct the examination in the B. Ed College of Osmania University and Tejaswini School in Warangal, where the examination was
disrupted due to the prevailing tension following the bandh call.
The Commission took this decision as poor attendance was reported in these centres.
However, the Osmania University Joint Action Committee (OUJAC) threatens to continue to obstruct the examination until the government makes its stand clear on the 42% quota in recruitments for candidates from Telangana.
The OUJAC warned of serious consequences if the commission went ahead with the re-conducting of the examination without taking any decision on the quota.
