The Andhra Pradesh High Court, on Monday, adjourned further hearing on a petition filed against the indefinite strike of APNGOs over the state's bifurcation issue, to Tuesday.
The petitioner, advocate Ravi Kumar, had approached the High Court against the APNGOs' strike, and sought that the court direct the striking employees to join their duties immediately.
Nearly 4 lakh employees affiliated with Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers Association and other unions have been on an indefinite strike since August 12 midnight, in protest against the proposed bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh to carve out a Telangana state.
Further hearing on this petition will be on Tuesday. (INN)
