Hyderabad | 22nd June 2014
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister N Chinarajappa on Sunday announced that the State government would weed out the Red Sanders smugglers from the State.

Speaking after assuming charge in the State Secretariat, Chinarajappa, who also holds the portfolio of Home, admitted that the smugglers had strengthened their roots across Andhra Pradesh in the last few years.

He said that at some places, the smugglers were even trying to run a parallel administration.

However, he said that the TDP Government would act tough against them, and that they would be weeded out completely.

Chinarajappa said that Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu had already instructed the police and forest department officials to take measures to eradicate Red Sanders smuggling from Andhra Pradesh.

He added that the government was also taking measures to ensure law and order in Andhra Pradesh.

He said that the local police would maintain better coordination with Central security agencies to ensure security along the coast line. (INN)
