Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today announced that the State had attracted $20 billion in investments over the last 18 months, generating employment for 20 lakh youth.
Addressing the inaugural session of the 30th CII Partnership Summit 2025 at the Andhra University grounds, Naidu said that his government aimed to mobilise another $500 billion in investments over the next three years to create 50 lakh jobs.
Describing Visakhapatnam as a "beautiful and safe city", he said that it was emerging as a prime global destination for IT and industry. He invited the delegates to host next year's Partnership Summit too in Visakhapatnam.
Responding to Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal's suggestion, he said that the State was ready to allot sea-facing land to develop a "world-class ITPO Convention Centre" in the city.
The CM added that Andhra Pradesh had several natural advantages, including the longest coastline on the east coast, and that the State was building corridors for drones, electronics, aerospace, space, semiconductors and defence, and urged industry leaders to invest in AP's deep tech, tourism, logistics and healthcare sectors. A "Quantum Valley" would be developed in Amaravati, and the first quantum computer from AP was expected within two years, he said.
He also said that the State had set an ambitious target to contribute 160 GW to India's 500 GW green energy goal, and added that Visakhapatnam's proposed data centre alone would require 6 GW.
