Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today said that Andhra Pradesh had suffered a huge loss of Rs 3,760 crores due to the recent heavy rains and floods.
The Chief Minister communicated this to the Central team visiting the rain-affected areas in the State.
The Union government had deputed a team to assess the loss in the State following the rains and floods, and the team members today called on the Chief Minister at Vijayawada, when they were given this information by the CM.
Naidu also informed the Central team that four districts had borne the brunt of the floods and the havoc created by the rains, and urged the Centre to extend liberal financial assistance to help the affected people.
