Additional DGP (CID) T Krishna Prasad said that Prosecution Sanction orders with respect to Md. Ilyas Rizvi are awaited from the government, and that on receiving them, a chargesheet will be filed against all the accused in the AP State Minorities Finance Corporation case.
Krishna Prasad said that Ilyas Rizvi, while working as the vice-chairman and managing director of APSMFC, had committed several irregularities and caused loss to the government exchequer for an amount of Rs. 55.47 crore.
Based on a complaint of Minorities Welfare Department Secretary M Dana Kishore, a case was registered in CID PS on 09/12/2012 in Cr. No. 91/2012 U/s 409, 403, 420, 467, 472, 120 (b) IPC. Investigation in the case has been completed, he said.
Four accused were arrested in this case and remanded to judicial custody. Immovable properties worth Rs. 12.9 crores were attached on government orders. (INN)
