AP Receives 33% Excess Rainfall
49% excess rainfall was recorded in the coastal Andhra region, 44% in Rayalaseema and 23% in Telangana.

The state has witnessed excess rainfall in 18 districts, while the remaining 5 districts have received normal rains.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, this has resulted in 33% excess rainfall in the state. Till Tuesday, 49% excess rainfall was recorded in the coastal Andhra region, 44% in the Rayalaseema region and 23% in the Telangana region.
The Nizamsagar, Srisailam, Tungabadra, Sriramsagar, Singur, Nagarjuna Sagar, Jurala, Yeleru and Somasila reservoirs were filled to around 90% capacity.
The Khammam district Collector said that due to floods in the Godavari, a control room had been opened at the Collector's office and Sub-Collector's office at Bhadrachalam, and in all Mandal Revenue Offices in the Bhadrachalam Division.
Relief Camps and medical camps have been organized, with food and water packets being provided to the victims, and other necessary precautionary measures being taken up.
In East Godavari District, control rooms have been opened at the Mandal, Division and District level. Special officers have been alerted, and directed to proceed to their flood duty places.
The authorities said that 10 country boats and 2 engine boats have been arranged at Devipatnam mandal, and one launch at Seethanagaram mandal, for relief operations.
Medical teams have been dispatched to Kondamodula, Katchuluru, K Gonduru villages of Devipatnam mandal, as well as to other flood-affected villages in other mandals.
40 families in Rajahmundry Urban mandal were evacuated on Monday.
