AP Sanctions Rs 100 Crores For New Police Vehicles
The Andhra Pradesh Government gave its nod for the purchase of 2,422 new vehicles for the State Police Department, and sanctioned Rs 100 crores for it.
The Andhra Pradesh Government on Wednesday gave its nod for the purchase of 2,422 new vehicles for the State Police Department, and sanctioned Rs 100 crores for the same.
The new vehicles proposed to be purchased include 1,314 Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) of six different categories, 42 MMVs, 21 HMVs, 1,000 MCs, six interceptor vehicles, two water tankers, four tractors, two JCB 3DX, 25 T/Carrier, four ambulances and one fuel tanker.
The new vehicles are being purchased to improve the mobility and visibility of the police in the State. (INN)
