Tourism minister Vatti Vasanth Kumar on Saturday informed the state Legislative Assembly that the state government has revived academies involved in Sahitya, Sangeeta, Nataka and Fine Arts in the state.
Replying to a query raised by MLA A Rajender in the Assembly during Question Hour, the minister said that an amount of Rs. 3 crore has been allocated in plan expenditure, and Rs. 50 lakh budget in non-plan expenditure, by the government, for the financial year 2013-14. The programss under the academies are yet to be taken up, he said. (INN)
