Senior Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader T Harish Rao, on Thursday, called upon his party cadre and students to obstruct Telangana Ministers, MPs and MLAs from
participating in the Andhra Pradesh Formation Day celebrations scheduled to be held on November 1.
Talking to media persons, Harish Rao revealed that TRS workers will block all roads in Telangana to protest against the Formation Day celebrations, and to boycott the ministers' programs in the districts.
He said the ministers' effigies would be burnt in villages, and those who participate in the celebrations would not be allowed to visit the Telangana region.
The TRS leader alleged that Telangana Congress leaders, who are extending financial assistance to the families of those who lost their lives fighting for a separate Telangana state, are insulting the "martyrs" by participating in the AP Formation Day celebrations.
Harish Rao asked the people of Telangana, and students and employees, to observe the day as 'Betrayal Day' and shun the celebrations.
He also asked TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu to clarify whether he would celebrate November 1 as AP Formation Day or as Betrayal Day.
The TRS leader alleged that the CM was being laggardly in taking an all-party delegation to New Delhi on the free zone issue.
He also blamed both Rosaiah and Chandrababu Naidu for being biased against Telangana.
