The Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen has retained all the seven seats that it had won in the 2009 elections.
The Party retained the Chandrayangutta, Charminar, Karwan, Malakpet, Bahadurpura, Nampally and Yakutpura Assembly seats.
MIM candidate Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala won from the Malakpet Assembly constituency by defeating his nearest rival B Venkat Reddy of the BJP by a margin of more than 24,000 votes.
Similarly, Maozam Khan won from the Bahadurpura constituency by a majority of over 95,000 votes.
Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri retained the Charminar seat for the 3rd consecutive term, and won the election by a margin of more than 36,610 votes.
Akbaruddin Owaisi retained the Chandrayangutta Assembly constituency for the 4th consecutive term. He defeated his nearest rival Dr. Khayam Khan by a margin of 53,700 votes.
Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, too, registered a comfortable victory from the Yakutpura Assembly constituency. He won the seat by a margin of about 38,000 votes.
Yakutpura was considered a seat tough to retain. MBT's Majeedullah Khan Farhat gave a tough contest and there were speculations of the MIM losing the seat. However, Khan retained the seat for the 5th consecutive term.
Another important Assembly seat, Nampally, was won by the MIM with a comfortable margin of more than 19,000 votes. MIM's nominee Jaffer Hussain Meraj won the seat by defeating his nearest rival Feroz Khan of the Telugu Desam Party.
The party also retained the Karwan Assembly seat. MIM candidate Kausar Mohiuddin won the seat by defeating his nearest rival Baddam Bal Reddy of BJP by a margin of over 18,000 votes.
MIM's candidates stood second in two other important seats of Jubilee Hills and Rajendranagar.
