APCC Campaign In City For Special Status To AP

The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee will launch a one crore signature campaign seeking special status for Andhra Pradesh, in Hyderabad.
Hyderabad | 4th March 2015
The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee will launch a one crore signature campaign seeking special status for Andhra Pradesh.

Interestingly, instead of in Andhra Pradesh, the campaign is being launched in Hyderabad.

Former APCC President Botsa Satyanarana will kick off the campaign at the Kukatpally Village bus stop on Thursday.

Speaking to media persons at Indira Bhavan on Wednesday, Botsa and former minister S Sailajanath accused AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu of having failed to get Special Status for Andhra Pradesh from the Centre.

They said that Naidu had been cheating the people on his relationship with the Centre. They questioned his frequent visits to New Delhi, and sought to know whether his "remote" was in the national capital.

The Congress leaders alleged that Naidu had failed to get any big project for the State from the Centre. Further, he had failed to fulfill the promise of eradication of unemployment in AP.

He said that the people who had voted for TDP were now expressing regret over their decision. (INN)
