Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will formally launch the crop loan waiver schemes on December 11.
According to sources, the Chief Minister will launch the scheme in the Chittoor district where he would hand over certificates to the farmers stating that their loans had been waived off along with the accumulated interests.
The Andhra Pradesh Government has already announced the schedule for the implementation of the crop loan waiver scheme.
All loans not exceeding Rs 50,000, of small and marginal farmers are being waived off entirely in the first phase.
The process, which began on December 6, is likely to be completed by January 22.
The government has published the list of the farmers and families eligible for the 100% loan waiver, and the same has been forwarded to the Village Janmabhoomi Committees (VJC).
The plan is to clear the amounts as per the bank norms on December 10, and the amounts are scheduled to be deposited on December 12.
The list of beneficiaries has also been forwarded to 6,500 banks and their branches. (INN)
