The first phase of the Budget session of the Andhra Pradesh Legislature will go on upto March 26.
A decision to this effect was taken at the Business Advisory Committee meeting presided over by Speaker N Manohar on Tuesday.
The opposition parties have asked for more time. The TDP has complained that there was no proper information on the standing committees. The Speaker said that the standing committees were formed according to the norms.
Various issues were mentioned by opposition parties during the meeting - including power shortage, the Dilsukhnagar blasts, Polavaram tenders, the Babli project.
The TDP also asked for a discussion on the number of visitors of Jagan at Chanchalguda jail.
The TRS said that it wants the House to adopt a resolution on Telangana, and the BJP and the CPI supported it.
The House will meet on Saturdays on March 16 and 23.
The motion on "thanks" to Governor's address will be taken up on Thursday, and the Budget will be presented on March 18. The House will take a vote on account of the Budget on the 26th.
The House will again meet in the second week of May. (INN)
