AP Accuses Telangana Of Violating APRA Over EAMCET

AP Human Resources Development Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao also accused Telangana Education Minister G Jagadish Reddy of threatening the APSCHE Chairman.
Hyderabad | 31st December 2014
Andhra Pradesh Human Resources Development Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao on Wednesday accused the Telangana Government of violating the provisions of the A P Reorganisation Act which authorised the A P State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE) to conduct EAMCET for both the States.

Speaking to media persons, Rao said that the decision of the Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE) to conduct the test on its own was in violation of the law.

He said that since the Telangana Government was not abiding by the directions of Governor E S L Narasimhan, the A P Government would move the Centre, and even approach the Supreme Court if required to resolve the issue.

He also challenged the legal sanctity of the TSCHE.

Rao also accused Telangana Education Minister G Jagadish Reddy of intimidating APSCHE Chairman Venugopal Reddy with dire consequences.

He also condemned the alleged use of abusive language by the minister against Venugopal Reddy. (INN)
