AP: Aarogyasri Now For All Families With Upto 5 Lakh Income
The Andhra Pradesh government today extended the coverage of the Aarogyasri healthcare services scheme to families with upto Rs 5 lakh in annual income.
The Andhra Pradesh government today issued orders extending the coverage of the YSR Aarogyasri healthcare services scheme to families with upto Rs 5 lakh in annual income, and laid down eligibility criteria for the health cards.
Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy had, during his election campaign before the April elections of this year, promised the people that he would bring all families with less than Rs 5 lakh in annual income too under the Arogyasri scheme.
As per the guidelines issued today, the eligibility criteria for issuance of the Aarogyasri cards will include:
1. people belonging to families with annual income of less than Rs 5 lakh (proof to be shown)
2. all rice card holders, and families which are eligible for the YSR Pension Kanuka cards and the Jagananna Vidya & Vasathi Deevana cards
3. outsourcing, contract and part-time employees, sanitary workers and honorarium-based employees working in the government sector, and employees of the private sector, with annual incomes less than Rs 5 lakh
4. pensioners whose annual income is less than Rs 5 lakh
5. landowners holding less than 12 acres of wet land and up to 35 acres of dry land (or total land of less than 35 acres, including wet and dry lands)
6. families/households not having more than one personal car
7. all households paying municipal property tax for areas less than 3,000 sft (334 sq yds)
