Anti-Separatist Book Draws Flak From T-MPs
The book released in Delhi by the former advisor to the PM, has stirred a hornet's nest, with integrationists lapping up the book while separatists cry foul.
A book brought out by the Visalandhra Mahasabha - "Refuting An Agitation: 101 Lies And Dubious Arguments Of Telangana Separatists" - has drawn flak from Nizamabad MP Madhu Yashki and other Telangana leaders who said that it is just a bundle of lies.
The book released in Delhi by Sanjay Baru, former Advisor to Prime Minister, has stirred a hornet's nest, with integrationists lapping up the book while the separatists cry foul. The book is aimed at "exposing" what it calls "lies of the separatists" on various issues, and was released at a time when things are reaching its crescendo.
Telangana MPs Madhu Yashki, Ponnam Prabhakar and others were quick to react saying that it is a can of trash and need not be given much credence to. They alleged that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy was behind the tour of Seemandhra leaders to Delhi and has been running the show from behind the scenes.
During 2009, at a time when the Telangana issue was coming to a close, Seemandhra leaders resorted to en masse resignations, and now they are up to other tricks but people will teach them a fitting lesson, they said. If AP NGOs try to play foul, the consequences will be dire, they said. (INN)
