National BC Welfare Association president and L B Nagar Telugu Desam MLA R Krishnaiah today demanded that the Telangana government announce its BC policy on the Telangana Formation Day to be celebrated on June 2.
Addressing the media on Sunday, the BC leader accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of adopting a "dictatorial" attitude towards the BC community.
"Though two years have elapsed since it came into power, the TRS government has failed to give any clarity on the much-trumpeted KG-to-PG education scheme and sanction 500 schools for BCs in the State. The Chief Minister is stalling the development of the BCs, who need consistent support from the government. We will intensify our protests if the government continues to show discrimination against the BCs. The BCs will launch awareness programs from the village level to towns on May 26. The State government will face our wrath if it fails to implement schemes to benefit us and if it doesn't shun its partisan attitude against our community," Krishnaiah warned.
