A state security commission will be set up to step up security in AP in wake of the recent increase in terrorist activities.
The decision was taken at a high-level review meeting on law and order in the state.
After the meeting, Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy told reporters that security cameras would be set up at vital places, and that necessary amendments would be made to the Municipal Act.
The meeting, chaired by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, was attended by DGP V Dinesh Reddy and other officials.
This is the first official meeting the Home Minister has attended after her name figured in the CBI charge sheet in the Y S Jaganmohan Reddy Disproportionate Assets (DA) case. (INN)
