The Andhra Pradesh government's media advisor Parakala Prabhakar today condemned the allegations leveled by Telangana IT minister K T Rama Rao that the AP government had copied some approaches of the Telangana government's industrial policy, calling the accusation "baseless".
Addressing a press conference at Secretariat, Prabhakar denied that his government had copied any forms from the Telangana government's website.
He alleged that KTR had ridiculed himself by writing a letter of complaint to Union Commerce Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and filing cases against the AP government.
"The Telangana government is trying to malign our ease-of-doing-business rankings," he said. "Our portal has made 9,000 transactions so far. And no State government has made such complaints on others so far."
The AP government which had got the second rank last year at the national level was all set to get the first rank now, he claimed. He alleged that it was only to belittle his government that KTR had made such comments, as Telangana's ranking was just 13.
"It is wrong to say that we have stolen any information as the servers of the two governments are different and the content is totally confidential. We can similarly claim that the Telangana government hacked our website to make false allegations," Prabhakar contended.
"KTR is talking without proper information. He should react on the issue now as we have disproved the allegations," he added.
Incidentally, Nirmala Sitharaman is married to Parakala Prabhakar.
