The Committee, which was appointed to search for a new capital for Andhra Pradesh, had detailed discussions with Naidu on the suitable locations for the capital.
It briefed the Chief Minister on the outcome of its visits to different places in the Seemandhra region.
It told Naidu that it had already visited many cities including Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry and Vijayawada, and had also interacted with experts on the issue.
According to sources, Naidu sought to know the viability of setting up the new capital between Vijayawada and Guntur. Further, the issue of whether to develop an existing city instead of constructing a new capital from scratch, was also discussed. (INN)
