Jagan Releases Funds Under YSR Rythu Bharosa
The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister today released the first tranche of subsidies for the farmers of the state under the YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy today released the first portion of agricultural subsidies for the farmers of the state under the YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme. About Rs 3,929 crore was credited into the bank accounts of 52.38 lakh farmers, with each farmer receiving Rs 7,500.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM said, "Despite facing various financial constraints, we have continued to stand by the farmers of our state. We have just released subsidies under the YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme for the third year in a row. So far, Rs 17,029 crore has been spent on the program. Our government is the only one in the nation that provides input subsidies worth Rs 13,500 to agriculturists. The benefits of this program cover tenant farmers and peasants cultivating forests and assigned lands as well."
Discussing his government's other farmer welfare measures, Jagan added, "We have spent Rs 1,261 crore on the YSR Zero Interest Crop Loan scheme which has benefited over 67 lakh farmers. Further, we have distributed Rs 1,968 crore among 15.67 lakh farmers under the YSR Free Crop Insurance scheme. This year too, we will credit Rs 2,000 crore into the accounts of 38 lakh farmers on May 25 under the insurance scheme."
He also said that aid of Rs 1,038 crore was distributed among the farmers who had suffered losses due to natural disasters and extreme weather events, and that the AP government had spent more than Rs 23,100 crore on the procurement of paddy at the MSP.
The aid, being given ahead of the start of the kharif cropping season, will be welcomed by the farmers of AP.
