Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana on Sunday stated that the PCC would appoint office-bearers to 11 District Congress Committees soon.
Talking to media persons at the Ministers' Quarters, Botsa Satyanarayana said that the process of appointments to district units would begin within a few days after consulting Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Monday.
He said that the party would also announce aspirants for by-elections to be held in the constituencies of disqualified MLAs, by 30 December.
He also said that the wings in PCC would be revamped soon.
Botsa further said that Chief Secretary Pankaj Dwivedi and the Anti Corruption Bureau Director General have been asked to submit a report on the probing agency's raids on the liquor syndicate in the state, to the government.
Based on the report, the government will initiate action against officials and ministers found involved in the scam.
The PCC chief said the Congress would file a petition with Legislative Council Chairman A Chakrapani, seeking to disqualify 3 MLCs — Pulla Padmavathi, Konda Murali and S V Mohan Reddy - for indulging in anti-party activities.
The PCC will also initiate action against MLC Jupudi Prabhakar Rao under the Anti Defection Act, Botsa said. (INN)
