The proposed visit of BJP national president Amit Shah to Hyderabad has been postponed, according to MLC N Ramchander Rao.
Speaking to the media at the state party office on Thursday, Rao said that the Hyderabad visit of Shah had been postponed upon the request to the latter by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Prime Minister asked Shah to postpone his meeting as he needed to coordinate with the NDA allies over some important bills likely to come up in Parliament, the MLC said.
The fresh dates for Shah's visit would be announced after the party executive meeting scheduled to be held on April 15 and 16, he said.
Replying to a query, Rao alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had violated the tradition by not offering "pattu vastralu" (silk clothes) in the Bhadrachalam temple.
KCR's grandson Himanshu had offered the robes on behalf of KCR, which was also a blatant violation of protocol, the BJP leader said
He added that the TRS government should function in a democratic manner and follow decades'-old traditions.
