The Amberpet police nabbed a notorious bunch of criminals involved in kidnapping a woman, rescuing the victim within 24 hours.

The Amberpet police nabbed a notorious bunch of criminals involved in kidnapping a woman, rescuing the victim within 24 hours. They also seized the vehicles and cell phones used in the crime.
Police said the accused Medipalli Srinivas, 57, car-driver-cum-watchman at Sai Charan Residency, Dilsukhnagar; Chilkalpalle Sairam alias Sai, 22, student of Sharada Nagar, Ramanthapur; and Avileni Raji Reddy, 27, working with Siri Homes, Dilsukhnagar; were arrested and are going to be produced in the court for a judicial remand, while Medipalli Satyanarayana, Venkat and Sai Swaroopa alias Karre Sai were absconding.
Police said that the principal accused Medipalli Srinivas was a native of Krishna district, and accompanied by his accomplices came to Hyderabad from to eke out a livelihood. In 2010, Srinivas gave a loan of Rs 4 lakhs to one K Srinivas Rao of D D Colony, Amberpet. Later when the latter failed to repay the amount, Srinivas conspired with his accomplices to abduct his family members to get back the amount.
As planned, the accused on Monday night went to the house of the complainant and forcibly abducted Nagamani, the wife of Srinivas Rao, and took her to Nizamabad.
Upon receipt of a complaint on Tuesday from the victim's son, the Amberpet police visited the scene of the offence, and with the help of CCTV footage, tracked the criminals and intercepted them near Tarnaka while they were heading towards Nizamabad. The accused confessed to have abducted the victim when her husband was away.
