How the mighty have fallen! It turns out the incident involving the alleged
harrassment of a woman videographer at Daspalla Hotel is going to haunt Allu Aravind's family for quite sometime now. On the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, a woman videographer, who was accompanying Mumbai DJ Ma Fazia, reported that she had been harrassed by a group of three (unidentified, till recently) men while she was filming the crowd at Over the Moon, the pub at Daspalla hotel. It turns out that one of the men was actually Allu Venkat, Allu Sirish's elder brother, and popularly known as Allu Bobby.
Ma Fazia and the videographer had alleged that the hotel authorities were desperately trying to hush up the entire incident, and that is why the two complainants were led away to another room, so that the culprits could sneak away in their absence. As it turns out, both the women had taken photographs and video footage of the men, on their camera phones.
The confusion over the man's identity was cleared when the Jubilee Hills police examined the snaps and the footage more closely, and found that it was indeed Allu Bobby. Sources have informed that this is not the first time that Allu Bobby has been involved in such a brawl. One of the sources recounted that once, Allu Bobby had thrown his shoe at a DJ when the latter had stopped playing music for some reason.
The DJ, Ma Fazia, has further alleged that it was Allu Bobby who "kicked the videographer and even threatened to break her legs".
In his defence, Allu Bobby has issued the following statement:
"My family and I, along with some of my school friends from Chennai, went to OTM for a school re-union. My brother Sirish dropped in to say hello on my insistence and left long before this scuffle happened. We were having a good time when this videographer started shooting us. I folded my hands and pleaded with her to please stop, but she wouldn't. I went to clear the bill and came back and saw that the videographer had picked a fight with somebody else. None of my friends and family were involved in that altercation. I don't even know who the DJ or her videographer friend was. The truth will come out. I am following up with cops about the investigations."
