Hyderabad | 26th July 2016
Telangana BJP BC Morcha President V Sriramulu demanded that the Telangana government release Rs 25,000 crores under the BC sub-plan for the welfare of the backward classes in the State.

Sriramulu also pointed out that out of the seven Vice-Chancellors appointed by the TRS government, only two were from the BC category.

Demanding a higher representation for the BCs in the State's administration, he demanded a separate BC commission to look into the welfare of the BC people in the State.

Sriramulu also said that the budgetary allocation for BC students should be increased, and a sanction of Rs 200 crores for 11 BC handicrafts federations should be approved.

He also asked the government to release the Rs 6,400 crores for fee reimbursement for BC students pending since the last two years.
