Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha on Saturday asserted that the Telangana Bill would be introduced in the ensuing winter session of the Parliament.
Speaking to media persons after meeting Jairam Ramesh in Delhi, Rajanarasimha said that he had discussed several issues, including packages for backward areas, during his interaction with the Union minister.
He said that the issues of statuses of Bhadrachalam and the Polavaram Project were also discussed. Several issues pertaining to the division of Andhra Pradesh were discussed during the meeting, he added.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the Telangana Bill would be introduced in the next session of the Parliament, beginning on December 5. He expressed confidence that the Bill would be passed in the Parliament, and that a Telangana state would be a reality soon. (INN)
