Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today said that all those involved in corruption in Telangana would be sent to jail once the BJP government wrested power in the State.
Singh was the chief guest at the BJP's Vijaya Sankalpa Sabha organised at Rampalli in Keesara mandal of Medchal district as part of the party's election campaigning.
Speaking on the occasion, Singh said, "This time, there will be a BJP government in Telangana. In the last 10 years CM K Chandrashekar Rao made many promises to the people, but none of them was fulfilled. He promised a job to every household, but cheated them by getting the question papers leaked. He said that every dalit family would be given three acres of land, but not a single family has received a single acre. He also promised to make a dalit the CM, but occupied the chair himself. And after all that he did not do anything for the State, either. In the last 27 years, the BJP developed Gujarat as a model for the country and showed how it could be done. I am asking KCR why he failed to develop Telangana in a similar manner."
He also alleged that the BRS government and the KCR family were mired in corruption. He claimed that from A B Vajpayee to Narendra Modi not a single BJP leader had any stain of corruption on him, but that the KCR family was neck-deep in malfeasance. He added that when the BJP came to power, it would work against family rule.
Singh appealed to the voters to ensure the victory of the Medchal BJP candidate Enugu Sudarshan Reddy, and thereby do their bit to bring the BJP into power in the State.
BJP candidate Enugu Sudarshan Reddy expressed confidence that there would be silent voting for the party in the constituency, and said that his services would make him win the elections with the highest majority.
