MIM MLA and floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi recieved conditional bail from the Adilabad Additional Magistrate court and Nizamabad court yesterday.
The Nizamabad court ordered him to furnish two sureties of Rs 10,000 each. Further, the court asked Akbaruddin Owaisi to surrender his passport, and restricted his entry into Nirmal till further orders. Owaisi was also told to restrain from giving controversial speeches. The court said that the violation of these conditions would lead to the cancellation of his bail.
This 11th, Owaisi's lawyers filed a bail petition, as a sample of his voice had been recorded and all investigations had been completed. After sevral sessions in court, Owaisi was granted bail last evening.
The Adilabad police had filed cases on Akbar Owaisi under 7 sections including sedition and waging war against the nation. This was with regard to his allegedly having made stringently anti-Hindu hate speeches during a public meeting at Nirmal, Adilabad, on 22 December 2012. On 8 January this year, Owaisi was arrested, and the very next day, he was shifted to the Adilabad Jail.
