Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy sent a "Chaddar" to the shrine of Hazrath Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti in Ajmer. The Chief Minister held the "Chaddar" at his camp office in Begumpet on Monday morning, before it was sent to the shrine of the sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti, in Ajmer.
A delegation under the leadership of former minister Mohammad Ali Shabbir brought the "chaddar" to the camp office. Ministers including Kanna Lakshminarayana, T G Venkatesh, Sunita Lakshma Reddy and the MP of Secunderabad - Anjan Kumar Yadav - were also present
The gesture holds ceremonial significance as the annual Urs of Hazrath Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti had started on the 12th of May, and will continue for 10 days, ending on 21st May. An "Urs" signifies the death of a saint.(INN)
