Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab, the terrorist who played an active part gunning down several people in Mumbai in November 2008, was hanged in Pune's Yerawada Jail on Wednesday.
Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab, the terrorist (or "gunman", as the BBC prefers to call him) who played an active part gunning down several people in Mumbai on 26 November 2008, was hanged in Pune's Yerawada Jail at 7:30am on Wednesday.
Kasab was the only terrorist caught alive during the terror attack, and was lodged in Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail till his hanging.

2008
26 Nov: 10 terrorists from Pakistan enter Mumbai by sea, spend 3 days attacking the city's landmarks. Kasab was one of those shooting people at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus.
